The Value of a Get Rich Slow Approach to Affiliate Marketing

Don’t fall into the Get Rich Quick trap…
Too many affiliates each year are dragged into the trap of what I would call the ‘get-quick-rich’ super affiliate programmes. sokosbeauty By this I mean those affiliate marketers offering a solution to affiliate marketing which requires very little user input and promises huge returns on investment. I describe these products as a trap because they are totally and absolutely useless if I am going to be blunt; quite clearly the idea of buying into an automated, turnkey money-making machine is a totally unrealistic business model – ‘get- rich-quick’ just doesn’t exist in the real world. This article suggests that new affiliates need to start off thinking long-term, learn from their mistakes (and even positively embrace them) and to persist until they get there- riches will be waiting for you but it certainly won’t be quick.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is…
In fact I wish I had used a bit more of the obvious common sense thinking I mention above when I began my own affiliate marketing career – I would certainly have saved myself a lot of time, effort and also the money I invested on e-books, video lessons, forum access etc. My advice when considering any product therefore is to remember that if something seems too good to be true, it probably, and in affiliate marketing definitely, is. Indeed, every one of this kind of turnkey product I have ever bought has proved to be absolute garbage, a lot of good sales copy without any useful content whatsoever – many either point you in the direction of a far more expensive piece of affiliate software (taking a nice commission for themselves in the process of course) or just set out a business plan which is doomed to fail.

The Get Rich Slow mentality…
If you want to have real affiliate success you need to get into the Get Rich Slow mentality, sokopm as I will advocate in this article. I don’t know if I have coined this phrase in affiliate marketing but it is something that has brought me a good amount of success and a decent income promoting affiliate products. There are still huge returns on offer but you need to recognise from the very beginning that reaching your goals will require a great amount of your time and effort.

How the real super affiliates do it…
This level of dedication and motivation is how all of the great affiliate success stories of recent years have come to fruition. Most of the true super affiliates have been in the industry for a great many years and hence experimented with a great variety of different projects. They have not given up but are always consistently pushing their websites, articles, newsletters etc., moving from project to project, marketing strategy to marketing strategy, until they have perfected their affiliate technique. Unfortunately when you have gained this kind of experience and discovered truly useful affiliate marketing secrets you are very, very unlikely to put it in an e-book available for $50 from ClickBank. sokobobbleheads Look at it this way – if you knew exactly how to make hundreds of thousands per year would you be willing to sell at such a low price to those who would actually become your direct competitors in the future?

Persist, success doesn’t come overnight…
Neither is it luck or timing that is the basis for most affiliates’ success. In contrast it is their experience and persistence which separates these affiliates from the rest of us and which have seen their earnings rocket up – they may capitalise on changing markets well but this is only because they have learnt how to do so. Like in other business ventures some strategies might simply not work – for instance the competition may be too fierce, the demand non-existent or your marketing unable to reach your customers.

In the affiliate marketing industry, more than most, it is essential to learn from, and bounce back from, your failures. You may have to persist through 2, 5, 10 or 100 projects but eventually you will hit the jackpot and the sales will start to come in. This is the first step towards being a super affiliate and as you become more experienced and knowledgeable your earnings will increase at a similar rate. Don’t expect to become a super affiliate overnight but devote all the necessary resources to give each project its chance to be successful – this could mean marketing every day for a month without any results but is a strategy which will pay dividends in the future.

How to give yourself the very best chance of success…
To conclude I believe that the idea of getting rich slowly is the best mentality to structure your research and website marketing around. This means you remain dedicated to your own success, don’t expect anything to come for granted and persist with and learn from your own mistakes. latestbusinesses With a little bit of talent and intelligence thrown in affiliate marketing can be a fantastic industry to be involved with.

Finally I will say that there are a few easy ways to put yourself in the best position to eventually reach super affiliate status at the start, and to ensure you maximise your marketing efforts. I highly recommend Ken Evoy’s Site Build It website creation, hosting and marketing programme as one of these – SBI provides the tools to create affiliate webpages which are proven to work, and in a very short amount of time to boot. This saves a lot of the donkey work which is better dedicated to marketing and adding to your webpage. The company also earns commissions based on your success – if you’re not making money you are not going to renew your subscription and therefore is almost as hopeful of your success as you are, separating it apart distinctly from those affiliates who are solely driven by money. There are still too many over-optimistic sales claims in the sales copy for my liking but it is certainly a million times better than any get rich quick scheme you will ever read.
